Day 1
Gen 1:1-5

Heavens and Earth created. Earth was formless, empty, dark and covered in water.

Light (day) was called in and seperated from the darkness (night).

Day 2
Gen 1:6-8
The sky was created so that there was water above the sky and water below the sky.
Day 3
Gen 1:9-13

The water below the sky was gathered to produce the seas and the dry land.

The land produces vegetation: seed bearing plants and trees with fruit that have the seed in them

Day 4
Gen 1:14-19

The Sun and Moon are created to govern the day and the night.

The stars are created to mark seasons, days and years.

Day 5
Gen 1:20-23

All moving creatures in the seas are created.

Birds are created.

Day 6
Gen 1:24-31
Gen 2:15-25

All living creatures on land are created.

Adam is created and names all of the beasts of the land and all of the birds.

God created a Woman out of the side of Adam.

Day 7
Gen 2:1-3
Ex 20:1-17

The work is finished and so God rested.

God blesses this final day and makes it holy.
